Some Sunsets Stick with you...

Writer's picture: rubystathersartrubystathersart
A silhouette of a girl taking a photo of an expansive sunset
I was driving by and had to capture this sunset in Acadia National Park, Maine, U.S.

Sometimes it's the location, the happenings in your life at the time, the people you share it with, or simply the unique colors that caused this experience to stand out.

How often do you see the sunset? I'm guessing for many of you, it's more often than witnessing the sunrise.

What if you decided to take in the sunset, sunrise, or both of these majestic moments daily? You could get your fresh air, grounding, and nature bathing all with a light show, creating a stronger friendship with the Sun.

And why not show up for the star that gives us warmth and nourishment every day? Now you're practicing gratitude, too. That's a quadruple win for your psyche and soul. Better yet, you're showing yourself love, by taking care of your mental and physical health.

But hey, you do you. This would be just one easy way to make sure your schedule includes some R&R along with reaping all the benefits provided by nature and your sense of connectedness... cultivating awe in the beauty of what seems simple, yet realistically holds vast complexity, in this perfect alignment in space and time.

"Peaches 'n' Cream Sunset"

The above painting is my rendition of a photo I took of a sunset witnessed while taking the last drive with my belongings, out of Virginia and towards Ohio, entering into my art career. When or where was your most memorable sunset?

The original painting has sold, though you can order a print here:
